Since moving from London in 1993, I’ve rented a studio looking onto the sea and it has become the subject matter of my work. This has enabled me to combine my love of swimming with my artwork. I use photographs taken with an underwater camera as reference points for my paintings.

Chris Parker is based in the historic Cinque Port of Hastings and has been a freelance photographer for 20 years. Chris undertakes specific commissions for a wide range of clientele within the UK and throughout the world. He has won several awards, most recently The Travel Photographer of The Year 2004. His commercial clients include Gordon’s Gin, The Observer and English Heritage to name but a few.
